Intel Ivy Bridge-small details and its Price



Intel prepares launch in September of the new enthusiast platform, Ivy Bridge-E, more powerful processors of consumption market of those who come to us their unofficial sale price.

As you know, following the launch of the Haswell and before arrival at end of year of the new Atom, Intel will commercialize the Ivy Bridge-E, microprocessors for socket LGA-2011 desktop machines, substitutes the current Sandy Bridge-E and the head of the market for performance.

Will be three models to market of Ivy Bridge-E according to the roadmap of Intel: Core i7 - 4960 X, Core i7 - 4930K and Core i7 - 4820K.

The most potent and that you offered your test, would be Core i7 - 4960 X with six cores and 12 threads of native processing, 15 Mbytes of third level cache, frequencies up to 4 GHz with Turbo Boost, quad channel memory support to 1866 MHz and a TDP set at 130 Watts.

The Core i7 - 4930 K would be the intermediate model, also with six cores and 12 threads but with 12 MB of cache and working frequencies up to 3.9 GHz with Turbo Boost. The third list model would be the Core i7 - 4820K, with quad-core processing, 10 Mbytes of L3 cache and 3.9 GHz frequencies.

Their prices would be in line with the current Sandy Bridge-E topped the range in the $1,000 barrier as you can see in the image compared to the current models:

 
The new Ivy Bridge-E would be available starting on September 4 and will be compatible with current plates LGA-2011 and chipset 79 X through a simple BIOS update.
